This site is built to be usable by everyone.

We have built this website to meet recognised accessibility standards, and we want to hear about it if any part of it fails you.

What we have done

  • Semantic HTML with a logical heading structure on every page
  • A skip link to main content, and visible focus outlines on every interactive element
  • Colour contrast checked against WCAG 2.1 AA for body text and interface elements
  • Full keyboard operation, including the navigation menus and the accordion answers
  • Descriptive alternative text on images that carry meaning, and no alternative text on purely decorative graphics
  • Form fields with associated labels, error messages announced to assistive technology, and errors described in words rather than by colour alone
  • All motion and animation disabled automatically when your device requests reduced motion
  • Text that reflows without loss of content when zoomed, and layouts that work down to small screens

The coverage map is a decorative representation of our service area. It carries a text description, and every place it shows is also listed in writing on the service area page, so no information is available only through the map.
